GRC CEO Peter Poulin Named to Data Economy's Future 100 List
In follow-up to making their Top 50 Most Influential Climate Leaders in Data Centers and Cloud in December, Peter Poulin, GRC's President & CEO, was just named one of Data Economy's first-ever Future 100 Influencers.
The list is comprised of 100 personalities to watch in the next decade that are poised to influence the direction and transformation of the global data center and cloud market.
Congratulations on your back-to-back achievements Peter!
We've collaborated with Dell Technologies to provide all-in-one immersion cooling server systems to easily solve the heat, density, and sustainability challenges faced by today's data centers!
In this blog discover the extraordinary benefits you'll experience from our collaboration, including working with a single source on the procurement, deployment, installation, and configuration of GRC's ICEraQ™ & ICEtank™ systems integrated with Dell EMC PowerEdge Servers that are optimized for immersion.
In our third installment of When Does Immersion Cooling Make Sense? blog you'll learn how our innovative cooling technology can help you—
Deploy edge computing anywhere
Configure up to 1,600 kW of computing power “in a box”
Achieve densities up to 200 kW/rack
Achieve a PUE of 1.03 or less
The Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), is not only the home of the new Frontera Supercomputer, but also the world’s longest running liquid-immersion cooling system. We recently asked Tommy Minyard, TACC's Director of Advanced Computing Systems, to share his thoughts on their long history with GRC's ICEraQ systems.
A picture is worth a thousand words, and our picture gallery fully demonstrates this popular phrase. Over the last 10 plus years, we’ve deployed ICEraQ, ICEtank, HASHraQ™ and HASHtank™ systems around the globe and brought the benefits of immersion cooling to organizations like the United States Air Force, DownUnder GeoSolutions, CGG and others.
From Data Center Districts to Massive data sets and Autonomous Data Centers to Onsite Power Generation and more, Data Center Frontier provides their perspective on the key data center trends of 2020.
The continually increasing demand for power in the data center industry is no secret, in their latest blog the Uptime Institute dives into what's driving this trend: Media Streaming , Social Media, Internet Penetration, and more.
Speaking at the Texas Data Center Summit GRC CEO Peter Poulin used this analogy to illustrate the effectiveness of immersion cooling:
“Let’s say, it’s about 66 degrees in here right now. We’re all reasonably comfortable,” he mused. “But imagine if you jumped into a pool that was 66 degrees. That water would be sucking the heat out of you pretty quickly. That’s the advantage of liquid cooling.”
Read the summary of the full discussion to discover nuggets on innovations in data center power and cooling.
